Allison Maier

Allison Maier is an Atlanta native who began her acting career on stage at age 9. She has always been passionately involved in the arts. Like many horror fans she grew up on the Universal Monsters and Vincent Price fare, graduating to Slashers, J-Horror, and Psychological Thrillers as her tastes expanded. She studied Psychology and Theater at the University of Georgia, during which time she began working in special effects make up with Shane Morton and Chris Brown at Silver Scream FX Lab.

She made her feature debut as Jessica in Jonathan Rej’s Atlanta Zombie Apocalypse: The Movie (2014), written by Jonathan Rej and Eddie Ray. Realizing her passion for filmmaking was stronger than The Shape, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of being an actor.

Allison is known for her performances in James Bickert’s Frankenstein Created Bikers (2016), in which she portrays party girl Allison Chestnut, and Robert Carnevale’s Spring Break Zombie Massacre (2016), written by Sam Suchmann and Mattie Zufelt, as jilted ex A.J. who goes to hell and back to get revenge.

Allison’s most recent feature is Bandit Motion Pictures’s (Brian K. Williams and Scott Schirmer) Space Babes from Outer Space (2017), where she plays Vanassa, the captain of the Space Babes’ ship. She will also appear in Brian Lonano’s B.F.F. Girls as Rose, the leader of the pack. Allison is excited to reunite with B.F.F. Girls producer Jill Gevargizian, who she first had the pleasure of working with on Frankenstein Created Bikers.

Allison has also appeared in several commercials, music videos, and shorts, including portraying Princess Leia in Matthew Schwartz’s Izzo: B.O.B.A. parody music video (2015).

Allison has a talent for emotionally engaging with others and hopes to spread empathy and joy through her performances. She is very excited to be a guest at Monsterama this year and thanks each and every one of you for your love and support!
